Character name/race/class: Zraca, Draenei Shaman
Talent build: 0 / 45 / 16
Please explain why you have chosen your talent build and what you consider to be it's strengths and weaknesses:
- The build is the best combo of offensive skills and raid utility. All 45 point in enhancement (well apart from 7 that you have to spend to get to the nice parts) are tooled for max dps. The talents in resto gives a sweet reduction in self-res to 40 mins, meaning on boss practices a wipe costs less time, cheaper totems, heal and most importantly increases the totem bonus range to 30 yards. Pretty useful around those big ugly boss creatures. The biggest drawback is the lack of any defensive skills or damage reduction and the fact that the entire enhancement build makes the character unsuited for healing (anyone but oneself) due to the small mana pool.
Would you be willing to respecc for the good of the guild and discuss your build with officers who have the proper knowledge?
- Indeed i would, but i am very reluctant to spec resto. Was a resto druid for a long time and it really pained me that i couldn't kill stuff at all. At the moment i lack any proper resto gear (have an "elemental set" sort of) so gearing up would be really hard going.
Comments regarding your gear setup, is there a plan behind it, i.e. more emphasis on AP than hit or is it randomly put together because it was the best you could find?
- At the moment it is crap apart from my main hand. I dinged 70 a week ago and i'm still using my levelling stuff. I am familiar with the game mechanics in general and my current aim is a Gladiator off-hand (or really a one-hand) and getting my hit rating up to about 5% (plus 9% from talents). Apart from the AP and crit rule my world!
How many nights per week can you attend raids? (Current 25-man raid days are tuesday, thursday, sunday)
- Almost every night. Given my work times wary greatly i'm guessing 2 times a week, give or take 1
Prior raid experience and raid guild / raid community.
- Kara and the start of SSC with my old guild on Moonglade
Reason for leaving your prior raid guild / raid community.
- Lack of well motivated and active players. Even serverwide the population was too small to sustain any proper raiding guilds. The lack of progress meant we lost our best players to the only 2 guilds making better head way, leaving us to gear up new recruits. A lot of negativity heaped up and finally we took the unanimous decision to disband the guild. Some still raid on MG, some transferred to other servers and many of the 'core' folks rerolled here on AD.
How important is loot to you? And why?
- Loot is important to me (!) in the sense that it allows progress. No better gear, no new raids into unknown territory.
Do you agree with our policies? And our expectations of being prepared for every raid?
- I fully do so. That is why this application is as a non-raiding member. To be of any use i need to have the proper gear but that takes time, even with the pvp shortcuts.
Tell us the basic facts about yourself in real life (age, nationality, hobbies etc).
- I am 28 years old, yes geezer indeed! I'm swedish and live in Stockholm with my girlfriend. I work as an orderly(think that's the word?), that's why i have so shifting working hours they might keep me from raiding some days. I like RPG and most computer games. I also play airsoft: yes, i shoot my buddies with plastic pellets out in the forests around Sthlm, hehe! I have some sort of plan to study something this fall... and i'm looking for a job with proper working hours.
How did you hear about BotE and what are you expectations of the guild?
- I've heard about it from Eilrion and several of my now former guildmates from Equitas/Equilibrium-MG
Do you know anyone inside BotE who can vouch for you?
- Eilrion i hope. And maybe even the crazy dane Legebrion. Apart from them Frenkie, Minika and Aerion are old Eq:s. Feels like i'm just name-dropping now. Better leave it at this.
