We are a RL couple who like to play WoW and raid together. That is why we want to make a joint application.

Name: Galladan
Race: Night Elf
Class: Rogue
Armory Link:

Talent build: 15/41/5 (combat daggers) or 20/41/0 (combat swords)
Combat is considered to be the highsest raid DPS build.
Strenghts: good DPS.
Weaknesses: too much reliance on hit rating itemisation, survivavility not as good as a subtlety build. Combat daggers has such a slow combo point generation that you spend most of your CP's trying to keep Slice and Dice up and running (with the odd rupture in between). Plus it's boooring to play.
My Armory shows a Sub build, but that's because I am having some silly PvP fun now that I am not raiding *grin*

Would you be willing to respecc for the good of the guild and discuss your build with officers who have the proper knowledge?
Yes, even though I think my build is almost optimal for raiding

Comments regarding your gear setup, is there a plan behind it, i.e. more emphasis on AP than hit or is it randomly put together because it was the best you could find?
I tend to go for hit rating items. I got some gear upgrades (an epic necklace, some higher ilvl boots), but I dont' wear them because they don't have hit rating. On some occasions, well itemised blues are better than epics.
Of course there are some +hit rating or +haste epics I'd love, but they haven't dropped for me yet.
I am also collecting badges for some of the top-end gear.

How many nights per week can you attend raids? (Current 25-man raid days are tuesday, thursday, sunday)
My goal is to attend 2 raid nights/week. I also like to socialize or simply do non-wow stuff as well Smile

Prior raid experience and raid guild / raid community.
I was in Maiev, where we had a raid progression very similar to yours (cleared Kara/Gruul/ZA, and were 3/6 in SSc and 1/4 in TK). This is very important to me: I want to join a raid comm that is at the same level as we were: I would not like to go back, neither would I like to be "boosted" by joining a raid comm that is way too much ahead.

Reason for leaving your prior raid guild / raid community.
The reasons are complex. I joined Maiev when they were starting Kara, and was offered the position of melee DPS class leader a few weeks after joining. I worked hard as an officer and helped it grow into a SSc/TK raid comm. In January, I was so tired of leading that I stepped down. Last week I realized that I needed some fresh air to keep on raiding, so I decided to leave the raid comm. I will greatly miss the great people I leave behind, but I need a change to keep me motivated.

How important is loot to you? And why?
I raid for progress: to see new bosses and new contents. Nothing is better than a first boss kill. Loot is important insofar as it is a tool for progress. I can live perfectly without getting items X or Y from bosses: as long as my gear improves with the rest of the raid comm's, to face new challenges, I am fine.

Do you agree with our policies? And our expectations of being prepared for every raid?
Yes, I like them. If you're not prepared, you're bound to fail.

Tell us the basic facts about yourself in real life (age, nationality, hobbies etc).
I am a software engineer, I am 33 (yikes!) and I am Spanish. I currently live in the UK because I wanted to have the experience to live abroad. As hobbies, I liked (you guessed it) computer gaming, cinema (preferably European or indie American cinema), literature and travelling.

How did you hear about BotE and what are you expectations of the guild?
I heard both in AD forums and in-game (on city channels). My expectations are to join a strong group and help it progress deeper into the end game raiding contents.

Do you know anyone inside BotE who can vouch for you?
Not really. I have raided with Miana in Maiev, and that's it.

Do you feel we've missed something you want to add?
I got a lvl 70, Kara-geared tank, who happens to have a full Frost Resistance set. He does not have any other raiding commitments (other than ad-hoc guild Kara runs), so he's ready to do some off-tanking, or even to tank Hydross, should we have no resist tank available.
You can contact me in-game as Galladan, Shorik or Jorah (my alts), or via Shaiza (see below).

Name: Shaiza
Race: Night Elf
Class: Priest
Armory Link:

Talent build: 19/42/0 (holy)

This build was agreed upon with other healers in my old raid comm, and was the most adequate for healing. I also was Discipline for a long time.

Would you be willing to respecc for the good of the guild and discuss your build with officers who have the proper knowledge?
Yes, I'd have no problem going Disci or even shadow (I have some dps gear to be shadow on raids as i built up a holy nuker set, but I'd need to improve it and build up my reflexes to be fully effective)

Comments regarding your gear setup, is there a plan behind it, i.e. more emphasis on AP than hit or is it randomly put together because it was the best you could find?
I mostly heal on raw +heal gear, and MP5 to avoid running out of mana on long fights.
I am also collecting badges for more uber gear!

How many nights per week can you attend raids? (Current 25-man raid days are tuesday, thursday, sunday)
My goal is to attend 2 raid nights/week. I also like to socialize or simply do non-wow stuff as well Smile

Reason for leaving your prior raid guild / raid community.
Because Galladan left. Raiding together is very important for us, as it takes up a very important part of our free time.

How important is loot to you? And why?
Shinies! I like Shinies! Seriously, I like progress, and loot is a tool for progress. It is important for it to be distributed evenly among the community for the overall benefit.

Do you agree with our policies? And our expectations of being prepared for every raid?
Yes, I like them. If you're not prepared, you're bound to fail.

I am 27, female, Spanish, software engineer. I like books and... and cast, and anything with big eyes.

How did you hear about BotE and what are you expectations of the guild?
Galladan told me.

Do you know anyone inside BotE who can vouch for you?
I know Miana from Maiev, and we raided together on some occasions.

Do you feel we've missed something you want to add?
I got a mage alt who could join our runs if it was necessary. Character name is Erinwyn, in case anybody wants to check her gear.

Thanks for the reply. By the way, I noticed that the forums somehow removed the links to the armory we had kindly posted for you. Evil forums Sad
